As a stay-at-home-photographer, she turns her camera into a sponge as she captures her version of this windswept oasis in the cold Atlantic waters which is renowned for its wild horses, shipwrecks and natural history. An island rich with fascinating geology and adaptations, one cannot help but experience deep admiration and respect for the community responsible for the survival of Sable along with hope for her future. Bernadette wishes to share her special journey through an enlightening and informative photographic journey. Sable Island has an abundance of information to teach us about our fragile landscapes and ourselves. While capturing the beauty and fragility of this biodiverse gem and it is Bernadette's intention to educate those who wish to learn more about the ongoing efforts to help Sable Island and all her inhabitants survive in her natural beauty.
