The main presentation will =20= be Restoring Wildlife Habitat by Bob Bancroft, Bob will be presenting =20= a personal story of 36 years of stewardship he has undertaken to =20 restore the ecosystems on 56 acres of run-out farmland in Pomquet, NS. Bob Bancroft is a biologist who lives in woodland overlooking the =20 harbour at Pomquet, NS. He has been studying nature=92s ways with an eye = =20 to maintaining and rehabilitating forests, their wildlife habitats and =20= waterways for 36 years. Bob has served as the Chair of the NS Section, =20= Canadian Institute of Forestry, as the President of the Nova Forest =20 Alliance, the model forest, and as the Chair of the Colin Stewart =20 Forest Forum, which brought industry and environmental groups =20 together. Recently appointed as lead on the Department of Natural =20 Resources Forests panel, Phase 11, he is currently the President of =20 Nature Nova Scotia. He has a small consulting company that manages =20 private lands for wildlife. The 2012 BNS Nature Calendar will be available for sale at this =20 meeting.
