I have had an immature Orange-crowned Warbler on my niger feeder for the pa=
st four days stuffing itself. It sounds like it might fit the bill.

Subject: [NatureNS] little brown bird

Yesterday on Pepperell St. in Halifax my mother was looking out her door an=
d noticed movement on the large tree in front of her house. It was a very s=
mall nondescript bird ( she said smaller then a sparrow) with a yellow/buff=
belly. She said it went up the tree like a woodpecker and then flew onto a=
branch when it reached the top of the tree. Of course she wanted to know w=
hat species it was. The only bird that came to mind was the Brown creeper. =
And having said that=2C is it a species that migrates or winters here. If i=
t winters here it would be worth keeping an eye out during the CBC. Any ide=
as? Heather =
