I think they are fairly common. I have taken pictures of them in two =
locations in Kentville and also In the Summerville area in Queens County =
where I saw them more fequently.

  Subject: [NatureNS] Spider Question

  Hi gang

Being from a coastal area I've never seen a Argiope Aurantia ( black =
and yellow garden spider) before. My Daughter from Lr Sackville has one =
in her yard and is very excited. She totaly loves almost anytinng the =
crawls or slides along and eagerly investagates and studies them. She =
too has never encountered one of this species before. I see that we're =
at the northern reaches of it's range, but how common are they arround =
here?=20
