Index of Subjects Hi all, These ducks are fed by the people who live in the house to the south of this small pond, when he comes out to feed the ducks he shovels corn onto the lawn and then the snow in the winter time. The past couple of winters I have seen upwards of seven hundred ducks in this small water body. In the evening you can watch ducks fly in from all directions to roost in this hunter safe refuge. The small street that connects to Highbury Rd on the east is called Mill Rd because this is the site of a former lumber mill that was last operated by a Mr. Wood and then his son in law Bill Hockey. The mill operated into the 1950's and when it burned Mr. Hockey got out of this business and moved to Kentville where he still resides. The pond is part of the mill pond when this was a water mill.
