For the past = two weeks I have see no sign of them I have a stealth camera which I = run 24/7 in my backyard and all I caught on it was a beautiful six point = White Tail buck about two weeks ago, Doubly mystifying is the fact that = we have a kiwi vine which this year produced far more fruit than ever = before. Usually the raccoons patiently await the kiwis ripening then = take their pick (literally). This year the kiwis are untouched. Does = anyone have similar experience? I'm not complaining and if you have = lots do not feel any obligation to send some over...I'm just asking. = Gary Myers Morden NS ------=_NextPart_000_0019_01CC87C3.7229DB60 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40" xmlns:v =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns:st1 =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META name=3DGENERATOR content=3D"MSHTML 8.00.6001.19120"><!--[if !mso]> <STYLE>v\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML) } o\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML) } w\:* { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML) } .shape { BEHAVIOR: url(#default#VML) } </STYLE> <![endif]--><o:SmartTagType name=3D"State"=20 namespaceuri=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"></o:SmartTagT= ype><o:SmartTagType=20 name=3D"City"=20 namespaceuri=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"></o:SmartTagT= ype><o:SmartTagType=20 name=3D"place"=20 namespaceuri=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"></o:SmartTagT= ype><!--[if !mso]> <STYLE> st1\:*{behavior:url(#default#ieooui) } </STYLE> <![endif]--> <STYLE> <!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:Tahoma; panose-1:2 11 6 4 3 5 4 4 2 4;} @font-face {font-family:"Bradley Hand ITC"; panose-1:3 7 4 2 5 3 2 3 2 3;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {color:purple; text-decoration:underline;} span.EmailStyle17 {mso-style-type:personal-reply; font-family:"Bradley Hand ITC"; color:black; font-weight:normal; font-style:normal; text-decoration:none none;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> </STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY lang=3DEN-US link=3Dblue bgColor=3D#ffffff vLink=3Dpurple> <DIV><FONT size=3D2 face=3DArial>We took the back roads from the airport = to Pictou,=20 through the Musquodoboits and Dean this weekend--saw at least a half = dozen dead=20 racoons on the roads.</FONT></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE=20 style=3D"BORDER-LEFT: #000000 2px solid; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; = PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"=20 dir=3Dltr> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial">----- Original Message ----- </DIV> <DIV=20 style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial; BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; font-color: = black"><B>From:</B>=20 <A title=3Dmaria@seasidehighspeed.com=20 href=3D"mailto:maria@seasidehighspeed.com">Maria</A> </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>To:</B> <A = title=3Dnaturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 href=3D"mailto:naturens@chebucto.ns.ca">naturens@chebucto.ns.ca</A> = </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Sent:</B> Monday, October 10, 2011 = 10:36=20 PM</DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Subject:</B> RE: [NatureNS] = Shortage of=20 Raccoons Anyone?</DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <DIV class=3DSection1> <P class=3DMsoNormal><FONT color=3Dblack size=3D5 face=3D"Bradley Hand = ITC"><SPAN=20 style=3D"FONT-FAMILY: 'Bradley Hand ITC'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: = 16pt">Haven=92t=20 noticed a shortage of raccoons, but am interested in your Kiwi = vine=85I planted=20 one 3 years ago, mine is the variegated (pink/white/green) leaves=85it = doesn=92t=20 seem to be thriving=85just wondering if you have any suggestions for = soil=20 amendments that may help.
