I forgot to mention that Glenn Rhodenizer at Second Peninsula on Oct. 9=2C =
had three Wilson's snipe and 12 bobolinks. =20
=20
Today=2C David Walmark=2C Dorothy Poole and I took a jaunt out along Digby =
Neck. We found a blue grosbeak at the end of Gulliver's Cove. We had thre=
e pileated woodpeckers with two driving from Milton to Caledonia and one so=
mewhere before Keji. Warblers seen were tons of yellow-rumped warblers=2C =
some palm warblers=2C common yellowthroats and a Magnolia warbler. At Harm=
ony Lake there were 60 ring-necked ducks. There were two greater yellowleg=
s at Bear River. Other raptors were not bad with numbers of sharp-shinned=
 hawks=2C two American kestrels=2C a northern harrier=2C two turkey vulture=
s and lots of red-tailed hawks. =20
=20
Along Digby Neck we had a peregrine falcon and two gray jays. =20
=20
Yesterday Alan McTavish and I had 35 common mergansers at Mahone Bay and 24=
 at Second Peninsula along with 10 hooded mergansers. =20
