--Boundary_(ID_CSz6dKGEVSMnb8CMt0SvnA) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT OCTOBER 2, 2011 - At our feeders in Wolfville, there was a sub-adult male n. cardinal -- where it should have been red was reddish-orange, and the bill was whitish and grayish, not orangy-pink as in adults. OCT. 3, 2011 - A n. harrier flew northeast and over Home Hardware toward the dykelands beyond in afternoon -- probably a juvenile female. OCT. 4, 2011 - Today in the trees and bushes around our Wolfville home was a small flock of warblers with chickadees, and the warblers included at least 1 Nashhville warbler & 2 yellow-rumped (myrtle) warblers. Also I saw 2 goldfinches, and 1 presumed fledgling was begging for food. At our feeders were an adult female n. cardinal, a young male pheasant, a downy woodpecker, several black-capped chickadees, 4 song sparrows, plus blue jays and mourning doves. OCT. 5, 2011 - 1 adult female n. cardinal at our feeders. OCT. 6, 2011 - In Gesner's Pond (ne. of Kentville), 9 WOOD DUCKS (7 males, 2 females or immatures), 1 f./imm. hooded merganser, and 1 imm. double-crested cormorant. Canard Pond: oodles of total ducks (300++)(very shy re hunting season now), mostly green-winged teal + mallards + black ducks, but also several Am. wigeons, 4 n. pintails, and ?? Port Williams sewer/sewage ponds: only one juv. probable black-headed gull? in north pond (not seen closely enough to be sure); south pond held 160 Canada geese and about 10 mallards with 2 black ducks. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville. --Boundary_(ID_CSz6dKGEVSMnb8CMt0SvnA) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable <html><body style=3D"word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space;
