In good light it has an abundance of flowers and fruits; vigorously worked by Bumble Bees and Pileated Woodpeckers respectively. YT, DW, Kentville ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul MacDonald To: NatureNS Sent: Wednesday, October 05, 2011 3:38 PM Subject: [NatureNS] Virginia Creeper Hi All Today I went over to the river to see how high the water came. Real high! In the woods there is a Virginia Creeper ( Parthenocissus quinquefolia ). Bright today with the dark skies. The reds to purple were spectular. There seems to be some variation as to if its a native or introduced. Roland says introduced but the USDA www site says its native to North Americia. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Have a nice day Paul ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this message.
