They were seen in Denmark, Col., by a friend of Randy Lauff on Aug. 10 and I saw and photographed them at the same location on Aug. 15. I have not received any reports since then, but they are quite possibilioty still in the area. The locations are all close to each other as the crane flies. cheers Ken ----- Original Message ----- From: Patrick Kelly To: NatureNS ; NS-RBA Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2011 6:47 PM Subject: [NatureNS] Four sandhill cranes in Pictou County it late July Hello everyone: I received a photograph that was sent in by someone looking for an ID on some strange "herons" that they had photographed earlier this year. It was four sandhill cranes in a plowed field. Pat Begin forwarded message: Sure... looking at the file info, looks like it was July 20th, 2011 11am :) on the Heathbell Road here in Lyons Brook in a farmers field. If you need a better picture I think I have more. best regards, ========================================================================== Patrick Kelly Director of Computer Facilities ========================================================================== Faculty of Architecture and Planning Dalhousie University ========================================================================== MAIL COURIER PO Box 15000 5410 Spring Garden Road Halifax, Nova Scotia B3H 4R2 Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada Canada ========================================================================== Phone:(902) 494-3294 FAX:(902) 423-6672 E-mail:patrick.kelly@dal.ca ========================================================================== --Boundary_(ID_C9UiO5wFlf5BGLfNoVKwNw) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv=Content-Type> <META name=GENERATOR content="MSHTML 8.00.6001.19120"> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY style="WORD-WRAP: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space" bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV> <DIV>Ken McKenna<BR>Box 218 Stellarton NS<BR>B0K 1S0<BR>902 752-7644</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Hi Patrick</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>These are surely the same found in Scotsburn field by Kay Wilson June 15, and photographed at Heathbell, July 4 by Ray Strickland.
