Hi all
Today Rick Ferguson and I discovered a immature LITTLE BLUE HERON along the eastern shore at Hartlings Pond on the Hartling Rd. in West Quoddy off Rte. 7. The bird is in a changing plumage with quite a bit of dark colouring in the wings. We saw it about 2:30 this afternoon, but did not see it on our return at 4:30 although it could have been tucked out of the way somewhere. We saw it first at the back of the pond, but it flew to the near side, feed a bit and then flew back to the back and landed in a tree.
cheers
Ken
