Today (Aug 31) I made it to HRM for a look around Eastern Passage for
shorebirds. Here's what I came up with:

MacCormack's Beach:

about 100 peeps (Semipalmated Plover, Semipalmated Sandpiper)

Hartlen Point:

another 50 peeps, spread out along the beach, feeding on the seaweed (Least
Sandpiper, Semipalmated Sandpiper)

Back Cove:

13 Whimbrel
1 American Golden-Plover
3 Black-bellied Plovers
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 White-rumped Sandpiper
30 Semipalmated Sandpipers

Also, I twice spotted a Merlin, once at the point, once at Back Cove.
