Perch especially white are very=0Aplentiful = in the lake also and there are a scattered yellow.=0AA pair of Loons were r= aising a half grown chick and spent most of the evening=0Aon the surface - = a sure sign of good fishing! They are quite interested in happenings=0Aon t= he lake and come over to see what we were about.=0AOne bass we caught was 4= 5 cms and worth a picture - for those not familiar with=A0=0Ahandling these= fish, simply put your thumb in its mouth and your fingers below=A0=0Athe t= hroat. The fish become quite docile and is easy to hold. The heart beat=0Ao= r pulse can be felt by the fingers below the throat. It's rate is slow - pe= rhaps 1 to 4=0Aas compared to our own but very strong. After releasing the = fish, your thumb will smell=0Aessence de bass you could call it.
