Had a wonderful flock of Chickadees, Warblers and Vireos between 7 and 8 a.m. today. Lots of BC Chickadees, both Red-eyed and Bl-headed Vireos, and many warblers. I needed at least 3 heads to see even part of what was there. Those I saw were: 3 N. Parulas, 2 Bl-thr. Greens, an adult Bl-thr. Blue, juv. Yellow, juv. Magnolia, juv. Nashville, Comm. Yellowthroat. There were also E. Wood Pewees, Least Flycatchers, both Wh. and Red-br. Nuthatches. Seemed like more woodpeckers than usual too - both Hairy and Downy. Very exciting to be in the middle of such a huge flock, not knowing where to look next, while sitting on your own deck! Had 29 species by 8 a.m. Yesterday had a Bl. & Wh., a Redstart and a Chestnut-sided. The day before (Fri.) had a Canada. Lois Codling L. Sackville
