Atlantic Coastal Plain Flora - Thursday, Sept 1st - 7:30 PM in the auditorium of the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History.

Join the Halifax Field Naturalists for a presentation by Alain Belliveau on the Atlantic Coastal Plain Flora (ACPF), a group of 90 species of wetland plants that inhabit our lake and river shores, bogs, fens, and estuaries. Some of the world's largest and least disturbed ACPF populations are located here in N.S. Alain Belliveau is a Masters student at Dal's School of Resource and Environmental Management. Alain's research focus has been the examination of a number of lakes in southwestern N.S. for red- and yellow-listed ACPF species to determine their distribution and population health, among other things.
