Hi all:
=20
I have a moth picture which I have not been able to key out at this point. =
It is a moth that is shaped like a triangel. There are white wavy section=
s on the wing. The back or outer part of the wings is white edged. The re=
st is a brownish color. The most interesting part of this moth is the red =
shiny fleshy type dot on the upper head area. It looks like someone put a =
dab of paint there. This moth was seen and photographed at the Thomas Cove=
 Ecological Reserve. =20
=20
The insect was a type of parasitic wasp I believe. I've seen the ones with=
the long abdomen that curles down when flying=2C but this one I thought wa=
s a dragonfly of some sort. The abdomen in flight and when landed sits str=
aight out is black with white stripe segmentation on it. It is about three=
inches long or so. The head looks like a dragonfly=2C but the interesting=
part is the tiny wings. They are very small in proportion to the rest of =
the body. The rest of the body is black. The wings were on top above the =
head and fluttered like fairy wings would. The wings were only about a mill=
imetre across. I did not have my camera and spotted this insect along Prin=
ce Street in Bridgewater. =20
