They were in company with several Yellow-leg Sandpipers and a couple of Black-headed Gulls. Unfortunately, the lighting was poor due to fog and overcast conditions and the birds appear to be in non-breeding plumage and thus the colours are muted. I added several pictures of one of the Godwits to my gallery at: http://scranlocker.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=15878194&AlbumKey=p5bYD Paul Murray --------------080305050006020904060001 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

August 7, 2011, 11:00
Lawrencetown Lake
Lawrencetown, NS

Hi All,

I would like to report that there were 2 Hudsonian Godwits near the causeway for Route 207 at Lawrencetown Lake this morning.
