I use heal all or 'self heal' a lot in the summer. I chop it up and fill a =
jar with it. Then I pour the jar full with olive oil. After a few weeks I d=
rain it and use the oil to soothe sunburns and bug bites. Its very refreshi=
ng.=20
:)

I have a wonderful old book by Joseph Meyer call "The=20
Herbalist" He says=2C "Prunella vulgaris is pungent and bitter and=20
slightly diuretic. It was once used as a gargle for throat irritations=20
and other purposes. Dose: a teaspoonful of the herb is placed in a pint=
=20
of good brandy or whiskey for a few days. Two tablespoonfuls of this is=
=20
taken during the day or when needed."
I expect this would cure whatever ails=20
ya.

  Hi All
This plant which is perhaps best described as a weed is reputed to have a=
=20
  lot of medecinal
properties. The var lanceolata is considered by Roland to be=20
  native.
Does anyone have any experience with it for its medecinal=20
  properties?
It is growing well in this weather!
