This morning I watched a very distant Skua hurrying to the NE far off Western Head, Queen's Co. It was all dark, and likely a South Polar, but far too distant to ID with certainty. It passed over a pair of feeding fin whales, as did a group of about 25 Great Shearwaters moving to the SW.
