Is this nesting = behavior, they have bred here before? 8:50 - after an excellent funnel display, 16 swifts go into chimney 8:53 - 10 enter. I suddenly realize that they are using two different = flues at opposite ends of this large combination chimney. I haven't seen = that before. Some that I thought were doing a "near miss" fly by are = actually going in. How many have I missed? 8:56 - one bird in 9:00 - A group of 9, then one solo bird 9:03 - a bird flies OUT of the chimney! 9:05 - group of 9, then 6 more 9:08 and 9:12 - solo birds 9:13 - 3 dive in after lots of circles 9:20pm - couldn't see to write notes and I left.
