Index of Subjects This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_zNL0V2sWSI4hAg1Qt650xg) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Males & females are equally in evidence here in Port Mouton. I was watering some of my plants in pots yesterday evening when a male hummer, with red throat flashing and tail spread, hovered on the edge of the hose spray and proceeded to have a shower. I kept the hose steady long enough until a pool formed on the ground, when he went down and had a nice bath for a few minutes, still under the shower from the hose. Of course, I had no camera on hand! This is the second time I have experienced this in my 17 years here. Ken MacAulay Port Mouton, NS .................................... We have a number of males and females here in White Point. I have seen 7 with more buzzing about in the past couple days. Nesting rings are on all but one female and there are still site offerings being made. I am trying to set up a small obelisk fountain thingy I have for them as well as get the bird bath and sand baths set up. They are coming to the hose when I leave it, water running, for the garden.........most all the birds are taking turns. They have to go to ground level (my sweat hoses died) to get water and have baths and gather mud and such.
