Yes indeed Mary - a very important part of the nitrogen to protein cycle.=
=0AIts been awhile since I reviewed this stuff and since so there are many =
much more learned folks=0Aon the site than I, it occured to me that someone=
 would have given you a detailed analysis sooner.=0AHowever I wouldn't try =
the chemical formulas - too far in the past!=0AHowever =A0lighting fixes ni=
trogen - hence the Ozone that you smell in a T&L storm.=0AThe nitrogen gets=
washed to the ground by the rain and the trees and plants use the nitrogen=
=0Aas building blocks. Especially for flowers where it is concentrated in t=
he pollen.=0AThe pollen get washed into rivers, lakes and so on where it fe=
eds small thing. These small=0Athings get eaten by bigger things like insec=
ts and so on.=0AThe cycle continues right up the ladder.=0ALeaves falling i=
nto streams are also very important to stream life right up the line.=0AAs =
always you ask good questions.=0AEnjoy the spring=0APaul=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A_=
