Taking advantage of one of the few sunny days this spring i took a trip =
to the Gold River area along hgwy103. This is an area i used to freqent =
in the 1970's. Needless to say it has changed a bit, however, many of =
the same butterflies i used to find there, were still present.
I was able to find=20
15 Eastern Pine Elfin
2 Brown Elfin
1 Henry's Elfin
<50 Spring Azures
5 Juvenal's Duskywing
1 Tiger Swallowtail
1 Question Mark
1 American Lady

Dragonflies included Common Baskettail, Beaverpond Baskettail, American =
Emerald, Hudsonian Whiteface, Red Waisted Whiteface, Spring Darner, =
Common Whitetail, Four Spotted Skimmer, White Corporal and Stream =
Cruiser.
Lots of warblers, thrushes, vireos etc. and a recently fledged, fuzzy =
headed Junco
