A group of 20 birders met at Mount Uniacke House for the Historic Hants Cou=

ortunate given all the rain we've had recently.=A0 A walk around the ground=
s of the Estate produced a few warblers, most notably a couple of Blackburn=
ians, a pair of Loons on the lake and a Broadwinged Hawk flying high overhe=
ad.=A0 On route to our next stop we pulled over to check the bog for Swamp =
Sparrows and were lucky enough to find not only our target species but a si=
nging Lincoln's Sparrow as well!=0AAt the small lake just past Hwy 202 at t=
he foot of Coles Road=A0(Does anyone know the name of this lake?) a few peo=
ple were fortunate enough to get good looks at some Wood Ducks.=A0 Others s=
pent 20 minutes trying to spot an Ovenbird that was singing close to the ro=
ad, while others enjoyed great close-up looks at a Northern Parula.=A0 =0AO=
n Elliott Road Patricia Chalmers spotted a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker excavat=
ing a nest cavity.=A0 At the bottom of this road we heard, but didn't see N=
orthern Waterthrush and Least Flycatcher.=A0 A few saw a male Am. Redstart =
and a couple saw a Pileated Woodpecker fly by.=0ALunch was enjoyed at Smile=
y Park by which time we had seen/heard 58 species.=A0 At the feeder across =
the road we added Evening Grosbeak, White-breasted Nuthatch and Downy Woodp=
ecker.=A0 In Windsor we added a few more ending the day with 64 species.=0A=
=A0=0AThanks to all the participants, especially those who helped with ID's=
and showed birds to others who might not have spotted them otherwise.=0A=
