I just got my hard copy of the Park Evens Guide 2011 (for N.S. Prov. =20
Parks)

On the Internet go to http://www.novascotiaparks.ca .

You should have no trouble navigating (even I can do it).

Under "Make a reservation" you'll find each park's season (e.g. =20
Blomidon Park opens May 20, today).

Back on home page, on the right choose "Park Events", click on that, =20
then note the headings of various months that span the entire summer =20
and fall and winter to February 11.

Below is my annual walk in Blomidon Prov. Park on May 29:

May 29, 2011 (Sunday)
Blomidon Provincial Park
10:00 AM
Fairy Shrimps, Spring Flowers, and Birds

=EF=BF=BC

Join Naturalist Jim Wolford for an interpretive walk on the Jodrey =20
Trail to a seasonal pond that contains the rare, beautiful, and =20
fragile fairy shrimp. Other pond life, spring flowers and other =20
flora, birds, and other biodiversity will also be seen or heard. This =20=

very easy nature walk is suitable for adults and children who are =20
capable of the distance (approximately 2 kms). Beyond the pond there =20=

is a lookoff that might afford a view of the Minas Basin and Five =20
Islands Provincial Park.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes or boots and bring water. =20
Binoculars, cameras, magnifying glasses, and field guides are also =20
recommended if you have them. Sponsored by the Blomidon Naturalists =20
Society (www.blomidonnaturalists.ca). This event will go ahead rain =20
or shine. Participants will MEET at the park office at 10 AM.

For people in Wolfville area, meet at the Wolfville Wharf parking lot =20=

at 9:15 a.m. sharp. The walk should be finished well before 1 p.m. =20
(lunch time).

Contact Jim at (902) 542-9204.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
