Prov. =20 Parks) On the Internet go to http://www.novascotiaparks.ca . You should have no trouble navigating (even I can do it). Under "Make a reservation" you'll find each park's season (e.g. =20 Blomidon Park opens May 20, today). Back on home page, on the right choose "Park Events", click on that, =20 then note the headings of various months that span the entire summer =20 and fall and winter to February 11. Below is my annual walk in Blomidon Prov. Park on May 29: May 29, 2011 (Sunday) Blomidon Provincial Park 10:00 AM Fairy Shrimps, Spring Flowers, and Birds =EF=BF=BC Join Naturalist Jim Wolford for an interpretive walk on the Jodrey =20 Trail to a seasonal pond that contains the rare, beautiful, and =20 fragile fairy shrimp. Other pond life, spring flowers and other =20 flora, birds, and other biodiversity will also be seen or heard. This =20= very easy nature walk is suitable for adults and children who are =20 capable of the distance (approximately 2 kms). Beyond the pond there =20= is a lookoff that might afford a view of the Minas Basin and Five =20 Islands Provincial Park. Please wear comfortable walking shoes or boots and bring water. =20 Binoculars, cameras, magnifying glasses, and field guides are also =20 recommended if you have them. Sponsored by the Blomidon Naturalists =20 Society (www.blomidonnaturalists.ca). This event will go ahead rain =20 or shine. Participants will MEET at the park office at 10 AM.
