Many of the groups have switched to = fan pages... Anybody know? =20 From: sternrichard@gmail.com Date: Thu=2C 19 May 2011 20:30:22 -0300 Subject: [NatureNS] A Facebook question To: naturens@chebucto.ns.ca Forgive me for seeming stupid in this age of social networking=2C but I hav= e never really got my head around the ins and outs of Facebook. Mary Macaul= ay mentioned posting a picture on the NatureNS Facebook page. I didn't know= there was one=2C but I have indeed now found it. But how do I join that gr= oup=2C so that it's listed in my own Facebook page under "my groups"?=20 I googled How to Join a Facebook Group=2C and it says "To join a group=2C c= lick "Ask to Join Group" at the upper right side of the group's page. You c= an also be added to a group by a friend who is already a member. Since grou= ps require admin approval for you to join=2C you may have to wait for an ad= min to confirm your request. Admins can also block specific people from joi= ning a group. " But I can't see any button that asks me to join the group anywhere on the g= roup's page=2C apart from one that says Subscribe by RSS - which I don't wa= nt to do. I just want to occasionally access the group with 1 click from my= own page. Any ideas? Richard --=20 ################# Richard Stern=2C=20 317 Middle Dyke Rd.
