I told the reporter which name went with which bird ( there is a pic of a saw whet with the story in the print version). Someone sent me the digital version last night and when I saw the misidentified online version I sent an email hoping they would catch it before it went to print. The print version is correct, the online version is not! The award was also listed incorrectly as being from the Can wildlife conservation...when it's actually from the Canadian Wildlife Federation. In any case, I'm very honored to receive it. The timing is great as it brings some media attention to our fundraising events :) Helene On 2011-05-18 10:34 AM, <duartess@ns.sympatico.ca> wrote: It is a wonderful article but I thought the very same thing. And we must remember that the media very often mis-identifies things all the time. On an aside, we have just built a lovely new sundeck attached to our house with tempered glass panes right across the front so I'll be able to continue to have a great view of visiting birds to my feeders. Anyway, a pair of Robins have decided that one of the support beams underneath is the perfect spot for a nest. Just noticed it today. Cheers!
