This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_sg+wVBYm1YZCfMxbNdlOCg) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Ken McKenna Box 218 Stellarton NS B0K 1S0 902 752-7644 Hi all With a few preliminary reports from spring migration count in Pictou Co., here are a few of the highlights- just over 110 species Pomarine Jaeger along the road at Melmerby PP- Charlie Kendell Lesser Black-backed Gull- adult Waterside PP- Ken McKenna Virginia Rail - Lorne Station Marsh- Steve Vines Least Sandpiper- 3 Lower Barneys River Steve Vines 1 Cape John - Ken McKenna Bonaparte's Gulls- 10 Lyons Brook Steve Vines Rusty Blackbird- 2 Blanchard- Kit and Karen MacLeod Iceland Gull- 2 Pier C, Pictou Ken McKenna 1 Lismore Steve Vines Red-necked Grebe- 2 Lyons Brook Ken McKenna (locally uncommon in spring but 6 at Melmerby May 15) Common Tern- 19 Lyons Brook Steve Vines 75 East River (Ballast I.-Rick Ferguson) There were 13 species of Warbler including single Chestnut-sided and Redstart by Steve, Magnolia, and Yellow for me and both Steve and I had single Black-throated Blues. My own tally for warblers include 16 Nashville, 32 Parula, 56 Myrtle, 7 Black-throated Green, 10 Palm, 28 Black and White, 32 Ovenbird, and 25 Northern Waterthrush. Rick Ferguson had 2 RB Grosbeaks and Eastern Kingbird. Charlie and Steve had Least Flycatchers. I had a single Veery. There were only a couple RT Hummingbirds.
