Hi All=2C
The first Tree Swallow of the season arrived today=2C pretty much on sch=
edule. I usually get a few about this time of year checking out my nest box=
es. They won't get into serious breeding for another couple of weeks.=20
I've cleaned out most of my boxes of last years nests=3B 13 so far with =
12 nests. There are a few more to do but they are less productive. I hope t=
o add a few more boxes this spring=3B if time allows.
The rest of the spring arrivals are also showing up as expected=3B inclu=
ding A. Kestrels and a N. Harrier that show up here every spring.
The last Snow Bunting stragglers left late last week. I'm still very int=
erested in finding out why this year was such a heavy year for Snow Bunting=
s in northern Nova Scotia. I've yet to hear a good explanation. All the bes=
t.
