Today I walked up the Gaspereau River trail from the bridge at White Rock.
There was one Northern Waterthrush singing about 15 minutes or so up the
trail. This was just one day later than my previous earliest ever (2 yrs).
Eventually, there will be up to 12 males singing along the entire trail.
Also new for me this season was a Black & White Warbler seen at very close
range but not singing at all. It looked like a M. Another singing bird was
likely a B&W but was never seen.
Also enjoyed were about 3 Parula Warblers & 3 Blue-headed Vireos and singing
Brown Creepers.
At home, also new for me today was a Chipping Sparrow, but I could have been
careless on this one due to Juncos & Swamp Sparrows also singing on our
property.
17.5 C and sunny here today.
