--=====================_280347421==.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed 25 April 2011 Johnny Nickerson has asked me to forward these recent sightings from Cape Sable Island. The Little Blue Heron reported previously from Newellton was still present when last looked for, two days ago. The two "accessible" pair of America Oystercatchers have returned, and Johnny will investigate whether the two pair that nest at less visible locales are back as well. There have been larger than normal numbers of Brown-headed Cowbirds moving through. Johnny had at least 20 at his feeder in Lower Clark's Harbour. The overwintering shorebird flock now comprises 20 Dunlin, 1 Sanderling, 35 Black-bellied Plover, and 3 Red Knot. The Brant flock is down to 300 birds. Three White-crowned Sparrows were noted at feeders during a recent passage of Dark-eyed Juncos.
