All: I have heard via Barbara Ruff than the warbler was photographed by Marsha Tedford by the Annis River, near Carleton, Yar. Co. It was present for two days about 5 April. I have permission and will post the photo on NS-RBA photos at the end of the warblers folder. The weather set-up at the time was a fair match for that of the early-April 2009 "fallout." A low pressure system moved n.e. through the Great Lakes region on 4 April, occasioning strong s.w. airflow from the U.S. Gulf Coast and along the East Coast to Nova Scotia. An important difference was the lack of strong westerlies in the Gulf and Caribbean - the warbler (and the Blue Grosbeak?) probably came from the Gulf Coast rather than caught migrating over the Gulf or Caribbean, as was the scenario in April 2009. Cheers, Ian Ian McLaren
