A nature field trip is no place to bring a pet. How can a person concentrate on
what they are viewing and on the dog too. You can't do both!
Having said that,I will state that I don't dislike dogs. My whole career has been
working with dogs (50 years + ), I own a dog and just wouldn't think of bringing
her with me.
If the dog needs a run then do it alone or with a friend but not with a group who
may be observing nature. It's just not fair to the other participants.
