The presentation covers the different ways that we protect =20 land, our three major project areas (Endangered Species, St Mary=92s =20 River, Coastal) and some of the many interesting characters that I =20 have met in my day-to-day work. Hailing from England, Dennis has been interested in wildlife from an =20 early age, developing a passion for birdwatching, which took him the =20 length and breadth of the British Isles (from the Isles of Scilly in =20 the south to Shetland in the north) and abroad; and recently, to Nova =20= Scotia. Working for the Scottish Wildlife Trust was Dennis=92s first =20 break into =93higher level=94 conservation work. He worked with the =20 Scottish Trust for 11 years and at one point was jointly managing all =20= the wildlife reserves across Scotland, an experience he greatly =20 enjoyed. After Scotland, Dennis moved due south to the county of =20 Hampshire where he worked for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife =20 Trust for 10 years.
