The East River below New Glasgow was a good spot. It was easier t= o hear them than see them. Also down at the Ponds in Merigomish they would = stay til June. I haven't visited there in many years so I don't know if thi= s still applies. It might be good to check at the Ponds mid May however.Paul --- On Sat, 4/9/11, Ken McKenna <kenmcken@eastlink.ca> wrote: From: Ken McKenna <kenmcken@eastlink.ca> Subject: [NatureNS] Brant-Waterside PP To: "NatureNS" <naturens@chebucto.ns.ca> Received: Saturday, April 9, 2011, 12:28 PM =0A=0A =0A =0A=0A=0A =0A=A0=0AKen McKenna Box 218 Stellarton NS B0K =0A1S0 902 752-7644 =0A=A0=0A=A0=0AHi all=0ARick Ferguson and I observed a single Brant Goose a= t =0AWaterside PP, Pictou Co. late this morning, April 9.=A0 =0AAlthough no= t a rare bird in Shelburne Co. it is not common in Pictou =0ACoWe did not o= bserve any Osprey yet around many of the =0A2010 nests or in Pictou Harbour= and the 3 rivers entering into the harbour.
