The Snowy Egret remains at the Sambro salt marsh. It was there yesterday morning and evening and also this evening at the back of marsh. The marsh was frozen tight this morning, so no egret this morning!

I walked the length of Martinique Beach last Wednesday and found only one Ipswich Sparrow on the whole route, my lowest number in years. To compensate there were seven Great Blue Herons and 30+ Sanderlings.

Also this evening there was a single Ipswich Sparrow at Sandy Cove's beach, at the end of Sandy Cove Road, HRM.
