--Boundary_(ID_GEHxmJ5qNfMGwYfX4++77g) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT APRIL 3, 2011 - Another Norway rat has made its appearance (after no sightings for a while) in our back yard burrow-system, which was originally dug by a rat and subsequently used by a chipmunk and a red squirrel or two. APRIL 4, 2011 - So nice out today that I had to drive around a bit and check some ponds etc.: Van Nostrand's Pond, Starr's Point: 5 male ring-necked ducks. Two Canada geese (tame?) at the small dugout pond just east of V. N. Pond. South of there the corner farm-woodlot red-tailed hawk nest had both hawks on and in the nest together. Canard Pond: 2 Canada geese, 1 drake gadwall, 16 American wigeons (9m, 7f), 7 n. pintails (5m,2f), + mallards and black ducks, no teals seen, 3 male ring-necked ducks, 6 female or imm. common mergansers, 1 imm. bald eagle, 1 red-tailed hawk. Harris' Pond in Canning: still half-covered by ice, 2 Canada geese on the ice with dozens of gulls, mostly great black-backed gulls, no ducks, no grackles or red-winged blackbirds. Canning Aboiteau: Brenda & Bill Thexton saw about 200 Canada geese there feeding on grasses. Hennigar's Marsh (w. of Sheffield Mills): 1 male green-winged teal, + black ducks & mallards. Port Williams sewage ponds: only a m,f pr of mallards. Just south of Port Wms. along highway, a merlin was perched not far from the usual red-tailed hawk. Paul Elderkin's Pond, just n. of Hwy. 1 at Greenwich/Wolfville boundary: about 20 c. grackles in a loose flock, and 3 or more male red-winged blackbirds. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville. --Boundary_(ID_GEHxmJ5qNfMGwYfX4++77g) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable
<body style=3D"word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; = -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "> <div style=3D"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; = margin-left: 0px; "><font face=3D"Helvetica" size=3D"5" style=3D"font: = normal normal normal 20px/normal Helvetica; ">APRIL 3, = 2011 - Another Norway rat has made its = appearance (after no sightings for a while) in our back yard = burrow-system, which was originally dug by a rat and subsequently used = by a chipmunk and a red squirrel or two.
<div = style=3D"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; = margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 20px/normal Helvetica; = min-height: 24px; ">

<div style=3D"margin-top: 0px; = margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><font = face=3D"Helvetica" size=3D"5" style=3D"font: normal normal normal = 20px/normal Helvetica; ">APRIL 4, 2011 - So nice out today = that I had to drive around a bit and check some ponds = etc.:
<div style=3D"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; = margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal = 20px/normal Helvetica; min-height: 24px; ">

<div = style=3D"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; = margin-left: 0px; "><font face=3D"Helvetica" size=3D"5" style=3D"font: = normal normal normal 20px/normal Helvetica; ">Van Nostrand's Pond, = Starr's Point: 5 male ring-necked = ducks.
