Hello everyone, I have found that many people who go for a hike to enjoy
nature often don't look down or around and miss the flora of the area. Of
course the hikers are going way to fast to see anything. 'Stop and smell the
flowers' would apply here. Same way with the animals that they could see on
their hike,, they miss them because they are going just too fast.

>There are two duplexes across the road from us. A few days ago,
>there were two people standing in front of one of the duplexes
>chatting & a mink which had been around the other duplex, scurried
>right by them but they did not see it!! It reminded me of an similar
>happening I observed a number of years ago in a Nat. Park in
>Manitoba where a weasel was hanging out in a heavily used green
>area. This weasel, which managed to hold on to its white coat well
>into May, would "stand" quite near one of the paths as people
>sauntered by. It appeared none of the visitors saw it, amazing in the
extreme.
