Our total was exactly average, at 195 species, and the DOWL (Dead Of Winter List) was a bit below average, even with the recent additions of Red-throated Loon, Greylag Goose, and Wilson's Snipe (the latter was not reported to NatureNS, but Verna Higgins of Middle Musquodoboit alerted me to a M. Valley sighting). The web page is here: http://tinyurl.com/nswinter Time now to think of spring, and with warming temperatures, singing doves, Song Sparrows, and chickadees, and nesting crows, it is not hard.
