After spending a couple of months being cared for at Hope For Wildlife, I am pleased to report that Ralph is finally going home. Mr. Garry Soweby, a local businessman (and driving enthusiast) will drive Ralph to the Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter in Newport, North Carolina. Michelin, initially thought they could offer Ralph a lift in the Corporate Jet but it was not suitable (in terms of cargo space) so they have made a donation to help offset the costs of gas for the drive. Ralph will be leaving on March 7 and will be staying at the Outer Banks where he will be flight trained/strengthened and then released back into the wild off the Outerbanks of North Carolina.
