The later date in June may find a few of the Showys just coming into bloom and that would be at Smileys Park. Also some of the bog orchids may be in bloom by then and that would be in our local bogs. Those you may find in boggy spots on Brier but end of July is the best date for the start of the big orchid season on Brier. Being a host one wants the 'best bang for the buck' . Tough spot to be in. We are spoiled as we see them all summer and want visitors to experience that but I have found that they seem happy only seeing a few. The Gypsum mine area is great as you will find Gypsum ragwort blooming and some other gypsum loving plants too. Hope this helps you, Heather Drope Heather Marchione - Independent Consultant The Pampered Chef 902-423-7032 902-440-5032 seniorinthekitchen@gmail.com --Alt-Boundary-16348.895180828 Content-type: text/html; charset=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Content-description: Mail message body <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"><head> <title></title> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8"/> <meta http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css"/> </head> <body> <div align="left"><font face="Arial"><span style=" font-size:12pt">Hi Peter, your first June date would find you Yellow Cyps at the Gypsum Mines and maybe a few dying off Ram's Head Cyps.  The later date in June may find a few of the Showys just coming into bloom and that would be at Smileys Park.
