I went for a walk on Evangeline Beach yesterday and saw a short-eared owl
fly off the bank just past the cottages if you go west. There were also many
horned larks and some rough-legged and red-tailed hawks in Grand Pre on the
drive up. I did not go searching for the cranes.
I went outside for a few minutes today and saw over 100 Bohemian waxwings
flying around the Acadia campus and I observed a smaller flock drink the
melted snow off the roof of a neighbouring house.
