Although I didn't get any birds I was after today, it was a beautiful day
for birding.

At the outlet where Ross Rd meets Cole Hbr Rd:
Eurasian Wigeon (1 male)
American Wigeon
American Black Ducks
Mallards
Blue-winged Teal (2 female)
Northern Pintail (1 male)
Green-winged Teal (3 male, 4 female or juvenile)
Bufflehead
Common Goldeneye
Hooded Merganser
Common Merganser

I had: Black Scoter at Eastern Passage, Long-tailed Ducks and Surf Scoters
at Cow Bay, White-winged Scoters and Common Eiders at Rainbow Haven,
Red-breasted Mergansers at Conrad's Beach, a female Northern Pintail at
Three Fathom Hbr, Greater and Lesser Scaup at Causeway Rd

19 species of ducks in all. I should have gone to Sullivan's Pond for the
Gadwall, Waverly for the Ring-necked Ducks, and Bedford for the Barrow's
Goldeneye.

There was a Killdeer at Three Fathom Hbr and another at Hartlen Point ( with
an American Pipit)

There were large congregations of Canada Geese at Rainbow Haven, Conrad's
Beach and Causeway Rd. Smaller groups were at Hartlen Point and Cole Hbr.
I checked them all over but didn't find anything different among them.
