Carcass of the day: Beaver. I've had a dozen ravens, two eagles and crows at the feeding station in my orchard this morning. Earlier this morning, four GBB Gulls passed over, then circled for over five minutes, and one finally landed briefly at the carcass. A flock of medium-sized gulls also flew over, some Herrings and perhaps an Iceland or two, but they didn't stop. Also today, three Starlings...very jittery...I don't think they got many seeds at all. A young Sharpie was by yesterday. For only the second time this winter, I had Redpolls, two this time (one last time), but they didn't stay long.
