Here in the Wolfville area, Canada geese can be seen or heard flying  
at nearly all times of day and night.  I think that most of these  
flights are non-migrations, or are just local migrations from feeding  
to roosting places -- this happens too at Windsor, where geese are  
perhaps even more likely to be in the dead of winter -- and I'll bet  
the Windsor birds sometimes fly to the South Shore or from there back  
to Windsor and Wolfville.
