From: naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca [mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca] On Behalf Of Tuma Young Sent: January-12-11 1:00 PM To: NatureNS Subject: [NatureNS] white sea loon Hi Everyone: As I wait for this winter storm to arrive, I'm doing a bit more research on Mi'kmaq names for birds. I have come across a name for a "White Sea Loon". Now I know the name for a common loon (Kwimu) and for the Red-throated Loon (Maqwisk) but I do not know what bird could possible be the White Sea Loon. Any thought on what bird this could be? Any help is appreciated.
