All: I have placed a cropped, enlarged version of one of John Kearney's photos of the Pink-footed Goose in Ant. Co.,, which he posted earlier, at the end of the waterfowl series on NS-rba photos. From that photo I tried to persuade John that he had a Greylag Goose, based on the seemingly orange-ish bill and the gray forewing panel (compare John's shot with images of the Cumb. Co. Greylag by Mike King at the beginning of the waterfowl section). Fortunately John stuck to his guns, and the bird is nicely confirmed by later photos by him and by Steve Vines - I've also posted one of Steve's images, obtained yesterday, at the end of the waterfowl series. It's a great addition by John to this fall-winter's stunning series of exotic geese. Cheers, Ian
