Just to provide an update of our yard birds here in Springhill, in the past month we have had these regular visitors: Black-capped Chickadees American Goldfinchs Downy Woodpeckers Hairy Woodpeckers Common Redpolls White-breasted Nuthatch (a m/f pair) European Starlings Mourning Doves Pigeons Dark-eyed Juncos American Crows Evening Grosbeaks Northern Flicker (one female) Two Northern Cardinals (males) were here a few weeks ago, and stayed about a week but we've heard from a neighbor down the street that they are tending her feeders daily. Our newest bird for this winter season showed up today with the snow storm: A Snow Bunting. We usually get Snow Buntings every year here, but this is the first one to show up so far this year. We have a weather station at home that sends data to our private website. There is a link in the menu at the bottom of that website to view our webcam if anyone is interested. It is focused on our backyard feeders.
