Hi all:
=20
Just a quick post as I've got to run again. Thank you to Joyce Allen for l=
etting me know that the rusty blackbird was still coming on occassion. I l=
ocated it at the feeder of house number 341=2C just before the Clearway St.=
road. In back of Joyce's on a side street there were five red-winged blac=
kbirds. One female and four males. At house #155 along Clearway St. I fou=
nd at least 55 pine siskins. It was hard to get an accurate count with thei=
r movements. I was able to count 55 at one time and there likely were more=
. When I first arrived I spotted a warbler on the ground with the siskins.=
I thought pine as it had a bright yellow throat. I spent about 40 minute=
s trying to get looks at this bird to firm up the id. I think there possib=
ly might have been two warblers present=2C but cannot not say for one hundr=
ed percent sure. I definitely know that a blackpoll was present as it had =
a duller chest olive in color rather then bright yellow with the striping a=
nd the right leg color confirming the id. Considering that I saw a bird=2C=
with much sharper wing bars and a brighter yellow throat I would also say =
that a pine warbler is there=2C but I am only counting the blackpoll as tha=
t is the only warbler that I can say I saw the leg color on and can confirm=
the id as such. These birds were in Mahone Bay if anyone wants to try for=
 them. =20

On the way home in the same spot at First South near the Tanners Settlement=
turn off=2C where Clarence Stevens Sr. saw a northern goshawk last year on=
e flew across the road today. It would be interesting to know if it is the=
same bird returned to that area for the winter.
