At Grand Desert, I found a young male Eurasian Wigeon mixed in with 114
American Wigeon, 14 Black Ducks, 13 Canada Geese, 30 Red-breasted Mergansers, 4
Buffleheads and roughly 150 distant scaup. I was surprised to see a Great Blue
Heron fly overhead, as were the wigeon, which all flushed.

At Seaforth, an American Pipit and a Song Sparrow were the only songbirds about.
On the water, there were about a dozen distant Common Eider, about 150 Canada
Geese, five Long-tailed Ducks and ten Buffleheads. A Bald Eagle put in an
appearance.

I ended up going down the West Jeddore Road as well. Things were pretty quiet
there, although I did manage to find another 21 Red-breasted Mergansers, a pair
of Horned Grebes and one Common Loon.
